Managing Partner
John is a Founding Partner of Fulcrum Global Capital and brings 20 years of experience in structuring, financing, investing, managing, and growing early-stage companies. At FGC, John tends to focus on technologies impacting automation/robotics, crop inputs, fintech, and novel crops/products, although he is naturally curious about the entire global food production system. John’s past and present board representations for FGC include CoverCress, NanoGuard Technologies, Resilient Biotics, Plastomics, and Sabanto.
Prior to co-founding FGC, John served as the General Counsel of the Kansas Bioscience Authority where he managed all aspects of the KBA legal processes, including investments in early-stage animal health, agriculture, and human health companies. Prior to joining the KBA, John spent a decade in the private practice of law, focusing on M&A, securities/fundraising, and general corporate matters.
Outside of FGC, John is active with his church, enjoys traveling (just about anywhere) with his family, prefers being active (with anything other than golf), and is always interested in learning how to tie new fly-fishing flies.
